* Study and understand Bible stories
* Read in an expressive, entertaining way
* Adapt a story for a multi-age group
* Dramatically portray the story using props when necessary
Catamaran Crafters

Lead 3 age groups in constructing a fun craft
Crafters can
* Organize (and perhaps shop for) craft materials
* Prepare in advance examples of completed craft
* Give good directions and guide children through craft assembly
* Tolerate messes and a little chaos
* Make sure children receive their craft at the end of the evening
Maritime Musicians (contact

Lead 3 age groups in praise, prayer, and song
Musicians can
* Teach children lyrics and melodies
* Add movements, clapping, dance, and rhythm instruments
* Celebrate the different musical abilities of the children
* Give good directions
* Assist in planning VBS Sunday worship (August 20th)
Galley Gamers and Snackers (contact team captain: Cheryl Smith)
Lead children in fun games and creative snack preparation
Gamers can
* Teach and engage children in fun games
* Prepare indoor and outdoor game alternatives
* Give good directions and engage all children
Snackers can
* Prepare and perhaps shop for snack ingredients
* Handle a mess
* Find their way around a kitchen
* Give clear instructions
